A new story of our help

Until recently, Nika’s story was similar to many others in Ukraine: life in one of the districts of the Kyiv region, two children, a loving husband, work. Nika has been continuously taking ART since 2016. On March 13, 2022, she divided her life into “before” and “after”, when she found herself with her children in Warsaw, having reached the evacuation train. The husband stayed at home.

Therapy remained for a week, but Nika did not have any documents (when they fled under shelling, there was no time for it). Just a bottle of pills. The girl decided to find online who can provide medical assistance to Ukrainians in Poland. She got on TikTok of one of the volunteers – on his channel he made a section with frequently asked questions for refugees. Nika went to the medicine block and saw information about the #HelpNow service. She wrote a message on Facebook, and the next day went to the medical center. There she got a medical test, doctor checked her, she got a medical card. The staff surprised the girl with their sincerity – the nurses turned on the translator on the phones to explain everything more clearly, and the doctor took her by the hand to the pharmacy literally, where she was given medicine for a month. The next appointment was also scheduled immediately. Nika was pleasantly surprised.

“When I went to the medical center, I didn’t know how it would turn out. My husband and I even discussed sending therapy from Ukraine to Poland, but it’s clear that the package could become “golden” in value. It’s good that everything worked out this way. I did not expect such support, thank you!”
